polyurethanes(WPU)werepreparedusingtoluenediisocyanate,polypropyleneglycol,ethyleneglycolanddimethylolpropionicacid,andsiloxanemodifiedWPU(PSU)latexeswereobtainedthroughreactionofPUprepolymerswitheitherbis(3-(1-methoxy-2-hydroxypropoxy)propyl)terminatedpolysiloxanes(PMTS)ordihydroxypropylterminatedpolysiloxanes(PDS)ofdifferentmolecularweight.Resultsshowedthat,withincreasesinmolecularweightofthesiloxanesused,phaseseparationoftheincorporatedPMTSorPDSinPSUfilmsincreased.Ingeneral,PMTSorPDSmodifiedpolyurethanefilmsshowedhigherperformancethanthosepreparedfromthecorrespondingunmodifiedpolyurethanelatexes. |
