Peoplearerecentlyinterestedonstimuli-induceddeformationsofcrosslinkedliquid-crystallinepolymers(CLCPs),causedbythechangeofmesogenalignmentduringthephasetransitionfromLCtoisotropic,e.g.contraction,bendingandtwisting.Inthispaper,azobenzeneacrylatemonomersanddiacrylatecrosslinkerswithdifferentlengthalkylspacerscontainingornotcantainingalongconjugatedmesogenweresynthesized.AlltheCLCPfilmspreparedshowedtheirTgsaroundroomtemperature,whichenabledthemtogeneratereversiblebendingandunbendingbehaviornearroomtemperatureuponalternateirradiationofUVandvisiblelight.Besides,theCLCPfilmswithalongconjugatedmesogenalsounderwentaphotoinducedbendinginresponsetoshortwavelengthvisiblelightat436nm. |
