Inthispaper,thedie-swellbehavioroftetracarboxylicaciddianhydride(BTDA)-toluylenediisocyanate(TDI)/diphenylmethanediisocyanate(MDI)copolyimidesolutionwasstudiedonacapillary-rheometerbyphotographicmethod.Extrusiondie-swellratio(B)wasmeasuredunderdifferentdiespecificationandextrusionconditions.Dielength/diameterratio(L/D)wasvariedfrom1to9.Extrusionconditionsincludedtemperaturesofsolutionsfrom15℃to60℃,extrusionpressuresfrom0.2Mpato0.5Mpa,andfiltergauzelayers.TheresultsshowedthatBincreasedwiththeincreaseofpressures,butdecreasedwiththeincreaseoftemperature,thedielength/diameterratioandthenumberoffiltergauzelayer.
