Inordertoobtainnovelpolymericderivativesofhyaluronicacid(HA)withimprovedphysicochemicalproperties,optimummolecularweight(MW)ofhyaluronicacid(HA)wasselected,aseriesofcompositehydrogelswerepreparedbycrosslinkingsodiumalginate(SAL)andHA.Theresultsshowthat,withtheincreaseofMW,themicrostructuresofHAhydrogelswereincreasinglycompactedandtheporesizesweregraduallyreduced.
