AfiniteelementmodeloftemperaturefieldcoupledwithelectromagneticfieldhasbeenestablishedbasedoninductionheatingtheoryincludingMaxwell’sequations,thermalconductivitydifferentialequationandmagneticvectorpotentialtosimulatetheinductionheatingprocessofbarrelofinjectionmoldingmachinebyuniversalANSYSsoftware,andtoobtaintemperaturefieldofthebarrelrelatedtotimevariation.Thecoupledthermalandelectromagneticfieldproblemtakingaccountofnonlinearmaterialscharacteristicsrelatedtotemperaturewasdiscussed.Theinductionheatingprocessofbarrelwasanalyzed,andthetemperaturedistributionanditsvariationwithtimewereobtained.
