Polyhedraloligomericsilsesquioxanes(POSS)representaspecificclassofmaterialswiththeempiricalformula(RSiO1.5)n,whicharehighlyorderedcage-likestructuresurroundedbyreactiveorinertorganicfunctionalgroups.POSShavearousedextensiveattentionfortheirhighsymmetry,lowdielectricconstant,excellentthermalandchemicalstability,outstandinginoxidizabilityandgoodmechanicalproperties.Crystallinevinylsilsesquioxane(Vi-POSS)wassynthesizedinourlaboratorywitha31%yield.ThepreparedcrystalsofVi-POSSwererectangularandhaddimensionsuptocentimeterorder
