Epoxyasphaltisakindofpolymermodifiedasphalts.Inthisstudythecurebehavior,thermalstabilityandglasstransitionbehaviorofepoxyasphaltswereinvestigatedbyusingdifferentialscanningcalorimeter(DSC)andthermogravimetricanalysis(TGA).DSCresultsshownthatduringtheisothermalcurereactionat121℃epoxyasphaltforbondcoat(B1)reactsfasterthanepoxyasphaltforbinder(B2).Furthermore,self-madeepoxyasphaltreactsfasterthanimportedepoxyasphalt.Aftercurereaction,theglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)ofepoxyasphaltsisgreaterthanthatofneatasphalt.Inaddition,Tgofself-madeepoxyasphaltissimilartothatofimportedepoxyasphalts.TGAstudiesshownthattheadditionofepoxydecreasesthethermalstabilityofasphalt. |
