A novel polyborosilazane precursor was synthesized by co-condensation route of B(NHCH3)3 and Si(NHCH3)4. The resulted polymer is a soluble yellow transparent fusant. The backbone of the polymer was mainly made of –Si-N-B-bridge with some borazine rings. The polymer showed good processability and liquidity, therefore, polymer fibers were obtained by melt spinning. The precursor polymer fiber could be changed into Si-B-N ceramic fiber by pyrolysis under a certain atmosphere. The composition and structure of precursors polymer and ceramic fiber were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and elemental analysis method (EA). The results showed that the structure of precursor polymer is a linear combination of ideal structure. The feature of the green fiber was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), the result was that the green fiber is uniform and smooth. |
