In this paper, a novel ceramic fiber Si-B-N-C with good thermal stability and oxidation resistance was reported. It was prepared through single-source precursor PBS-Me and pyrolyzed in N2 atmosphere under various temperatures (1000-1600℃) for 2h. The microstructure and crystallization of Si-B-N-C ceramic fiber was studied by SEM and XRD. The annealed products were characterized by high temperature thermo gravimetric analysis. The microstructure observation showed smooth surface and non-porosity fracture surface of Si-B-N-C ceramic fiber treated under the temperature up to 1600℃. The products could retain fully amorphous up to 1600℃ and exhibit remarkable resistance against oxidation in pure oxygen at least up to 1500℃ following pyrolysis above 1300℃ in N2. |
