Probing chain interpenetration in polymer glasses by H-1 dipolar filter solid-state NMR under fast magic angle spinning
Chain interpenetration in polymer glasses was investigated by a new strategy combining preparation of an isotopically enriched polymer blend with analysis by 1H dipolar filtered solid-state NMR under fast magic angle spinning (MAS). The fast MAS at 25 kHz induces crucial changes in spin dynamics and selectively isolates the proton signal of hydrogenous PS chains in which protons are sufficiently c...

Amphibious fluorescent carbon dots: one-step green synthesis and application for light-emitting polymer nanocomposites
A facile and green approach for the synthesis of amphibious fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) from natural polysaccharide is reported. Lightemitting polymer nanocomposites with excellent optical performance can be easily prepared by incorporation of the amphibious CDs into the polymer matrix.

Influence from Thermal Elimination Temperature of Precursor Polymer and Film-forming Methods on the Photophysics of the Poly(2,5-didodecyloxy-p-phenylenevinylene)
A series of poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s (PPVs) with good solubility were synthesized from thermal elimination of precursor poly(2,5-didodecyloxy-p-phenylenevinylene) at different temperature via Wessling method. The polymer photophysics were influenced by the thermal elimination condition, which was consistent with NMR and IR characterizations. The additional absorption peak at longer wavelen...

Preparation of Fluorescent Conjugated Polymer Films with Different Emission Colors: Investigation into the Influences of Chemical Structure and Morphology
A series of PPV fi lms with different fl uorescent emission colors are prepared using a facile approach. Modifi ed from the conventional Wessling route, the labile sulfonium groups in the polymer precursor (pre-PPV) are partly substituted to various degrees by relatively stable methoxy groups, followed by a regular thermal elimination step to obtain PPV. Different chemical structures among these...

ChemCatChem:Magnetic Polystyrene Nanosphere Immobilized TEMPO: A Readily Prepared, Highly Reactive and Recyclable Polymer Catalyst in the Selective Oxidation of Alcohols
摘要: The 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) radical immobilized on the magnetic polystyrene nanospheres (MPNs) was used as a recyclable catalyst in the oxidation of various alcohols. The new and simply prepared heterogeneous TEMPO/MPNs exhibits both similar versatility and efficiency to homogeneous TEMPO under basic Montanari conditions. The excellent stability of the MPNs enables the T...

122. Can spherulitic growth rate accelerate before impingement for a semicrystalline polymer during the isothermal crystallization process?
Isothermal crystallization processes in the temperature range from 110 to 140 °C were studied by using polarizing optical microscopy (POM) for poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) film samples with and without confinement conditions. The PLLA film samples were prepared by melt pressing between two cover glasses to provide the surface confinements and by removing the top cover glasses or by solution cas...

Study of shear-induced interfacial crystallization in polymer-based composite through in situ monitoring interfacial shear stress
In order to further investigate shear-induced
interfacial crystallization of polymer-based composites, an
improved fiber-pulling device was designed and built. Its
peculiar characteristic is that a force transducer is assembled
to in situ monitor the variation of interfacial shear stress
between the polymer matrix and pulling fiber. Thus, the
relationship between interfacial shear stress and...

Controlled synthesis of graft polymer through the coupling reaction between the appending β-keto ester and the terminal amine
A new method to synthesize graft polymer with controlled graft density (?) through the coupling reaction between the appending β-keto ester and the terminal amine is proposed. Following this method, the backbone polymer of poly[2-(acetoacetoxy) ethyl methacrylate] (PAEMA) containing the appending β-keto ester is synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerizati...
