Xiaojie Zhang learned organic
chemistry in Fudan University, Shanghai and graduated with a B.S. degree in 2002. From 2002 to 2007, he finished his Ph.D study
on synthesis of monodisperse conjugated oligomers in Changchun Institute of Applied
Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Yanhou Geng. In 2008, he joined
the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a postdoc research fellow, worked
on novel functional π-conjugated systems such as polycyclic aromatic
hydrocarbons with Dr. Jishan Wu. In 2010, he moved to the Max Planck Institute for
Polymer Research as postdoc research fellow and in December 2011,
he was back to Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry as an associate scientist.
Now, his researches are mainly focused on C-H direct arylation and organic
photovoltaic materials.
