Wei Tian holds a Ph.D. degree and is currently a full professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Polymer Science and Technology. His main research work focuses on the hyperbranched polymers and supramolecular polymer chemistry. He has been selected for various talent programs and plans, including the National Natural Science Foundation Excellent Youth Science Fund Project, the Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents" support program, the Shaanxi Provincial Distinguished Youth Science Fund Project, and the Northwestern Polytechnical University's "Soaring Youth Scholars" talent program. To date, he has led five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and has published over 70 papers as the corresponding author in the fields of chemistry, materials, and polymer science, including Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., PNAS, Adv. Mater., and Macromolecules. He has also been granted 10 invention patents as the first author. He has been awarded the Outstanding Performance and Contribution Award by the Asia Pacific Society for Materials Research, as well as the Second Prize for Excellent Scientific Research Achievements in Higher Education (Science and Technology), the Shaanxi Provincial Excellent Youth in Chemistry Award, the Shaanxi Provincial Second Prize for Science and Technology, the Shaanxi Provincial First Prize for Science and Technology in Higher Education, and the Second Prize for Teaching Achievements in Shaanxi Province.
