Dr. Kun Luo is a full professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Changzhou University. He is a fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (FIMMM), a member of the Academic Committee of Metallurgical Physical Chemistry of Chinese Nonferrous Metals Society, a Professional Committee member of the Energy Storage and Power Battery and Relevant Materials of the Chinses Instrument Functional Materials Society, and a member of Chinese Chemical Society. From 2004 to 2005, He was a visiting scholar in the University of Bath for 6 months. From 2005 to 2008, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Manchester. In 2014, he visited Newcastle University as a senior visiting scientist for 6 months.
Prof. Dr. Luo has the expertise in nanocomposite materials, including the design and fabrication of polymer solid electrolytes, three dimension functional metamaterials and electrocatalysts, for the applications on electrochemical energy storage, multiple functional sensors and value-added utilization of recovered battery materials. He has published more than 130 papers in Advanced Materials, Chemistry of Materials, Chemical Communications and Journal of Materials Chemistry A, etc., and obtained 21 Chinese invention patents and 8 utility model patents. In 2021, he joined the editorial board of SN Applied Science.
