Profe
Professor Shanqiu Liu completed his
doctoral studies at the University of Twente in Enschede, Netherlands, before
undertaking postdoctoral research at the University of Zurich in Zurich,
Switzerland. In 2021, he was selected for the Zhejiang Provincial Overseas
High-Level Talents Program (Thousand Talents Plan), the Yunhe Young Scholars
Talent Program, and the South Tai Lake Elite Plan. By 2023, he had been
recognized as a Qianjiang Distinguished Expert in Hangzhou. Currently, he leads
several prestigious projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation
of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Overseas High-Level Talents Project, and the
Canal Young Scholars Talent Program at Zhejiang University of Technology.
As a core technical member, Liu has
contributed to European Union-funded projects under INTERREG and the European
Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Over the past five years, he has published 12
top-tier journal papers as the first or corresponding author in journals such
as ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials (AFM), and Macromolecules, 11 of
which were published in journals with an impact factor greater than 10. He has
been interviewed by the Chinese edition of the MIT Technology Review and has
given exclusive talks at the world-renowned MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology.
Professor Liu also serves as a guest editor
for renowned journals in the field of polymer science, such as Chemistry – A
European Journal, Polymers, and Symmetry. He is a frequent invited speaker and
presenter at leading international academic conferences across Europe,
showcasing his significant contributions to the field.
