The composites of carbon nanomaterials (i.e., carbon nanotubes and graphene) and conjugated polymers (CPs) have attracted enormous attention during the last decades due to their fascinating properties. This is mainly due to the common conjugated structures of carbon nanomaterials and CPs, which not only offer a non-covalent way for the preparation of composites but also lay on the fundamental for energy and electron transfer at the interfaces in the composites. In this mini review, we summarize the recent achievements on the preparation and functional applications of carbon nanomaterial/CP composites. In the viewpoint of synthetic chemistry, noncovalent and covalent approaches for the preparation of carbon nanomaterial/CP composites are described in details, along with the discussion about the challenges and perspective of each method. The potential applications of the carbon nanomaterial/CP composites are also discussed.
