Prof. Guodu Liu was born in 1982 in Shaanxi Province, China. He received his B.S. degree in 2004, M.S. degree in 2007, and Ph.D. degree in 2012 from Northwest A & F University. He was also a visiting Ph.D. student during 2009–2011 in Prof. Xumu Zhang’s laboratories at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. After two-year postdoctoral research in Prof. Wenjun Tang’s laboratories at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, he worked three and half years in Prof. K. C. Nicolaou’s laboratories at Rice University as a Robert A. Welch postdoctoral research associate. From 2018, he took his current position as a professor of organic chemistry at Inner Mongolia University. His research interests are in the areas of ligand design, asymmetric catalytic reactions, total synthesis of natural products, and chemical biological study of Mongolian Medicine.
