Polydiacetylene-Polymethylmethacrylate/Graphene Composites as One-Shot, Visually Observable, and Semiquantative Electrical Current Sensing Materials
Aiming to develop pH-paper-like current sensing materials, we prepared irreversible electrochromic PDA-PMMA/graphene composites. The composites exhibited an excellent linear relationship between critical responsive currents and the amount of graphene in the system. In these composites, PDA acted as the electrochromic material and graphene as the conductive matrix. The presence of PMMA not only ens...

Hematite Nanostructures Synthesized by Silk Fibroin-Assisted Hydrothermal Method. Journal of Materials Chemistry B, 2013, 1(2): 213-220
A green, simple and economical route based on an efficient Bombyx mori silk fibroin assisted hydrothermal process has been developed to synthesize monodisperse hematite (alpha-Fe2O3) nanostructures with fine shape control. The effects of reaction time and silk fibroin concentration on the morphology of alpha-Fe2O3 have been investigated systematically. Several morphologies including quasi-nanocube...

A Hierarchical Adsorption Material by Incorporating Mesoporous Carbon into Macroporous Chitosan Membrane. Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2012, 22(24): 11908-11911
An easy and practical method is adopted to assemble mesoporous carbon particles into a macroporous chitosan membrane to form hierarchical adsorption membranes for water treatment. The membrane showed both good static and dynamic adsorption properties on model dye fuchsin, which implies its great potential for decontamination in flowing systems.

183. Hierarchical composites of polyaniline–graphene nanoribbons–carbon nanotubes as electrode materials in all-solid-state supercapacitors.
A three dimensional (3D) polyaniline (PANI)–graphene nanoribbon (GNR)–carbon nanotube (CNT) composite, PANI–GNR–CNT, has been prepared via in situ polymerization of an aniline monomer on the surface of a GNR–CNT hybrid. Here, the 3D GNR–CNT hybrid has been conveniently prepared by partially unzipping the pristine multi-walled CNTs, while the residual CNTs act as...

177. Graphene-Wrapped Polyaniline Hollow Spheres As Novel Hybrid Electrode Materials for Supercapacitor Applications.
Polyaniline hollow spheres (PANI-HS)@electrochemical reduced graphene oxide (ERGO) hybrids with core−shell structures have been fabricated via a solution-based coassembly process. The hollow nanostructured designing for the PANI-HS greatly enlarges the specific surface area, providing high electroactive regions and short diffusion lengths for both charge and ion transport. The wrapping of ER...

Preparation and performance of a novel thermoplastics polyurethane solid–solid phase change materials for energy storage
Phase change materials (PCMs) are a series of functional materials with storing and releasing energy properties. PCMs are able to adjust and control the environment around them through storing and releasing energy during phase change process. Based on the phase change theory, bis(1,3-dihydroxypropan-2-yl)4,4′-methylenebis(4,1-phenylene)dicarbamate, a novel tetrahydroxy compound, was designed and ...

Synthesis and thermal energy storage properties of the polyurethane solid-solid phase change materials with a novel tetrahydroxy compound
Based on the phase change theory, a novel tetrahydroxy compound (THCD) was designed and prepared. Depending on the spatial structure of the tetrahydroxy compound, a form-stable thermoplastic polyurethane solid–solid phase change material (TPUPCM) was synthesized via employing PEG as soft segments, while multi-benzene ring structure made by 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and tetrahydroxy compo...

Mesoporous Co3O4 materials obtained from cobalt-citrate complex and their high capacitance behaviour
In this work, amorphous and mesoporous Co3O4 material is obtained from the calcination of loosely packed Co3O4/Co(OH)2 nanosheets which are synthesized by the formation and disassociation of cobalt ecitrate complex reaction. We propose that Co nanoparticles are completely oxidized to form the stable cobaltecitrate complex in the presence of sodium citrate and oxygen, and cobaltecitrate complex dis...
