【组织简介】 The American Institute of Chemists (AIC) is a national, non-profit organization. The purpose is to promote the relevance of the chemical profession and its practitioners to society. It engages in a broad range of programs for professional enhancement through its prestigious Fellow membership category, awards program, certification programs, meetings, publications and public relations activities.
The objectives of the AIC, are to advance the chemical profession in the United states, to promote the protect the public welfare by establishing and enforcing high professional standards of practice for this profession, and to promote the professional, social and economic interests of its members for the benefit of society at large.
The official publication of the American Institute of Chemists is The Chemist. This scientific journal is published six times a year. Each issue has a different technical themes and includes peer-reviewed manuscripts, letters to the editor, guest editorials, book reviews, news of the Institute, conference information and many other issues that are relevant to today's professional chemical scientist.University and library subscriptions are available for $60 per year. A single issue of The Chemist costs $10.
