【简介】 The Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry has one of the largest chemistry research schools in the UK. Research topics range from analytical chemistry to materials science and from biological chemistry to theoretical chemistry. Research is well supported by industry, government, research councils, the EU and charitable foundations. Extensive networks of national and international collaborations exist in all fields.
Prof John Murphy is Deputy Head of Department with responsiblity for research.
The research carried out in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry spans a very wide range of topics, and many of the staff are involved in collaborations with one another and with industrial sponsors. Research is identified under the following headings:
