【简介】 Chemometrics - Data analytical IT-discipline used for characterization of "hidden information" from scientific-, industrial-, production- and laboratory data etc. This is achieved by modelling the so-called latent data structures by use of very "open" methods and algorithms - multivariate data analysis - so that the most informative variations (variances, covariances) are accentuated (PCA, PLS-R), with noise filtered out. The analysis is typically carried out by use of chemometric data-analytical software packages (MATLAB, Unscrambler, SIMCA etc.) or by problem-specific software development. Proper use of experimental design is the second pillar of chemometrics.

The ACACSRG group has extensive experience in this field and is well prepared for solving a vide range of specific analytical problems - in their own right or in close relation to:
Sampling - This discipline covers theory and practise of structurally correct sampling from heterogeneous systems and processes. This has previously been almost totally neglected in analytical chemistry, process technology and many other academic and industrial fields. ACACSRG has taken up the challenge of sampling with force, and will work to propagate solid understanding and proficiency w.r.t. proper sampling throughout chemometrics. A considerable effort will also be devoted in finding acceptable and well-calibrated "proxy methods" for sampling, when the situation precludes correct physical sampling to the extent which would otherwise have been desirable. ACACSRG works primarily with two such proxy-methods, acoustic chemometrics and multivariate image analysis.
