Drachten, The Netherlands – Dunlop Conveyor Belting will invest up to EUR 6.4 million in new equipment, new products and improved service in facilities in the Netherlands and elsewhere. The first phase, costing some EUR 2.5 million, will add a new press at the Drachten, The Netherlands site that will produce rolls of up to four meters in diameter (20 metric tons) at a width of up to 1,400 mm. The second phase, at an investment of EUR 3.9 million, includes a new production hall on the existing site with a steelcord production line. The new line is expected to be on stream by September 2012. The unit will make the belts in widths up to 1,600 mm.
