The DuPont India Savli site recently completed the laying of a water pipeline that will provide clean water to the 3,000-member Nimesara village. This program is supported by the DuPont Community Fund (DCF) as part of a community outreach sustainability program.
S T Tsay, regional human resources director, Asia Pacific, unveiled a plaque in the presence of village community leaders, village members and DuPont Savli employees. “We actively support programs that address the needs of the community where we operate and improve the quality of life, thus reinforcing our DuPont core values,” S T said.
The DuPont India Savli site is a multi-business plant site with facilities for Crop Protection, Performance Materials and Performance Coatings. The site also supports the community through DCF funding for upgrades to the local village and school infrastructure facilities.
Vinod Tiwari, country operations general manager, said, “DuPont community initiatives have enhanced the sanitation and health care facilities in the surrounding villages and earned respect as a responsible organization.”
In addition, the site has supported the community through a clean drinking water and vision care program. These programs aim to develop and nurture social responsibility and make a positive impact on the local community.
