In the present work, linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) based composites have
been prepared by melt compounding of various silica-based fillers such as fumed
silica, precipitated silica and soda-lime glass microspheres. The aim is to investigate
the influence of the filler dimensions and surface area on the viscoelastic response and
fracture behaviour of the resulting nano- and microcomposites.
