Study on rigid polyurethane foam plastics
reformed with microfibre

Abstract The effects of microfibre dosage on the main mechanical properties and the surface structure of the rigid polyurethane foams were studied. With the increasing of the microfibre dosage, the compression property increased, the impact property had an obvious drop, and the surface became compact. But the compression property began to decrease when the microfibre dosage was beyond 60phr/100phr polyol. The total properties would be best as the microfibre dosage was 50phr/100phr polyol.
