2nd Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery will be held in September 11-14, 2012 in Suzhou, China

We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery (SIPCD 2012) will be held from September 11-14, 2012 in Garden Hotel, Suzhou, China. The symposium, under the auspice of Chinese Chemical Society Polymer Division and Chinese Society for Biomaterials, is co-organized by Soochow University, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), and Suzhou Biobay. Much to our pleasure, we have invited worldwide top scientists in the fields of biomaterials, controlled drug delivery, protein and cell delivery, gene delivery, polymer-based diagnostics, and tissue engineering, to present their most recent research achievements and to share their cutting-edge views on the field in general.

The symposium will welcome (and limit to) approximately 350 delegates, with 32 invited lectures and about 180 poster presentations. The symposium is organized in one single session. In this way, we hope that you will not miss any important lectures. In SIPCD 2012, we will also present a featured panel discussion on "The Future of Nanomedicine" as well as a dedicated author workshop on "The Art of Writing Scientific Papers". The invited speakers are all invited to contribute a full article or mini-review paper to be published in the SIPCD 2012 Special Issue of Journal of Controlled Release (Impact Factor 7.164).

Particular attention will be given to the poster session, wherein six excellent poster awards will be presented during banquet, with each an official certificate and 300 US$ award. Please note that all accepted poster abstracts will also be published on-line in the Journal of Controlled Release.

Suzhou, about one hour away from Shanghai, is an ancient city with a history of more than 2500 years. The city is well known for its beautifully preserved centre, its exquisite gardens and its impressive system of small canals. Suzhou is surrounded by lakes and is also known as the Venice of China. Suzhou has the charm to make your stay a unique experience.
