A hierarchical micro/nanostructure and low surface energy result in superhydrophobicity in a polystyrene film prepared by the electrohydrodynamics method. The composite film consists of porous microspheres, which contribute to superhydrophobicity by increasing the surface roughness, and interwoven nanofibers, which reinforce the film. A water droplet resides on the film with a contact angle of about 160°.
