报告摘要:
Abstract: It haslong been recognized that the in vivo extracellular matrices, e.g. basal lamina, exhibit characteristic micro to nanoscale fibrous topography. Ample experimental evidence demonstrates that artificial matrix topographical features significantly influence the adhesion, survival, proliferation and differentiation of stem cells. Electrospun fiber matrices have been explored as artificial substrates for stem cell culture to regulate stem cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation in a cell-type specific manner. In this seminar, several case studies will be presented to demonstrate the effect of functional nanofiber matrices on hematopoietic stem cell expansion, neural stem cell differentiation and on the migration, maturation and functional maintenance of tissue cell types. The potential of these nanofiber matrices for regenerative medicine will be discussed.
