Cellulose nanomaterials (100–500 nm in diameter) including fibers and particles have been produced from nonvolatile room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) solvent by electrospray. Solvents are extracted from the biopolymer materials after the
formation using cosolvent–water. The fundamental role of concentration has been investigated. Structural, morphological, and crystalline phase features were studied by SEM, TGA, and XRD.
