View Journal amphiphilic cross-linked copolymers (RO–OA–PEI) tended to self-assemble 
into stable FPNs with diameter at the nanoscale and highly dispersed in aqueous solution. 
Due to the AIE feature of PhNH2, the thus obtained FPNs emitted strong red uorescence in 
aqueous solution. Finally, the biocompatibility and cell uptake behavior of RO–OA–PEI 
FPNs were further assessed to evaluate their potential for cell imaging applications.
