The interaction between chitooligosaccharide-5-fluorouracil (COS-SFU) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. It was found that an energy transfer between COS-SFU and BSA had been occurred. The binding constants were calculated, k298k=1.175x104 Lmol-}. Based on the mechanism of energy transfer of dipole-dipole interaction between the donor and acceptor, the distance between BSA and COS-5FU was determined.
