A multi-stage temperature responsive wettable surface composed of poly(N-isopropylmethacrylamide)-block-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPMAM-b-PNIPAm) is fabricated on a structure-enhanced silicon substrate by atom transfer radical polymerization. Detailed AFM investigation indicates that the adhesion force on the prepared surface decreases with the increase of temperature, which shows a three-stage force rundle consistent with the change of surface wettability
