质子交换膜燃料电池(PEMFC)是一种清洁和高效的能量转换装置。目前,其商用的贵金属(主要为Pt)基催化剂面临稳定性差等重要问题,这主要是因为担载贵金属催化剂的碳载体容易发生电化学氧化,导致金属催化剂颗粒移动、脱落或团聚,致使催化剂的活性降低。本文提出通过限域和锚定作用来提高Pt纳米颗粒与载体的相互作用以降低Pt纳米微粒运动的自由度,从而达到大幅改善燃料电池催化剂稳定性的目的。

简介:在所有的非贵金属催化剂中,掺杂型碳基催化剂因具有优良的氧还原催化活性、高稳定性和抗CO和甲醇中毒能力而吸引了研究者们的广泛兴趣。本论文分别通过原位聚合苯胺、尿素复合聚苯胺及采用生物质为原料,并加入铁离子得到了催化剂的前驱体,再经过高温热处理获得了一系列具有特殊形貌的氮掺杂纳米碳基氧还原催化剂。

博士研究生杨金龙顺利通过博士学位论文答辩

2014年5月20日,我组杨金龙同学进行了博士学位论文答辩。答辩委员会主席为华中科技大学黄云辉教授,答辩成员为华中科技大学霍开富教授,武汉理工大学刘韩星教授、潘牧教授和麦立强教授,武汉理工大学余军副研究员作为答辩秘书与会。

杨金龙同学博士毕业论文的答辩题目是“多维硅酸亚铁锂纳米材料的调控合成及储锂性能”,研究内容包括从零维到三维硅酸亚铁锂(Li2FeSiO4)及多维硅酸亚铁锂/碳复合功能材料的可控制备及储锂性能。首先,利用碳网络框架的限域效应合成了平均直径为18.7纳米的硅酸亚铁锂纳米晶,获得了超过一个锂离子的脱嵌,在10C倍率下1000次循环后比容量为90.0mAh/g,保持率为97.7%;分别获得了等级梭形硅酸亚铁锂和纳米棒状/碳复合材料,后者获得了接近于理论容量的储锂性能,而且具有非常优异的倍率性能和循环稳定性能;获得了一种三维等级花形结构的硅酸亚铁锂/碳复合材料,同样获得了接近两个锂离子脱嵌的储锂性能及优异的倍率与循环稳定性能;论文还对多维硅酸亚铁锂材料及其与碳的复合材料的储锂机理进行了深入探讨。最后,针对研究工作中的不足,对今后的工作提出了三个方面的展望。

徐峰同学顺利通过博士学位论文答辩

2013年12月9日,我组徐峰同学进行了博士学位论文答辩。答辩委员会主席为武汉大学陈胜利教授,答辩成员包括华中科技大学王得丽教授,武汉理工大学麦立强教授、李昱教授和阳晓宇教授。

徐峰同学博士毕业论文的答辩研究内容主要包括氧化铈(CeO2)的SO2/CO及混合催化剂的CO抗中毒性能。研究发现,随着CeO2含量的增加,Pt表面对CO的催化氧化能力也随着提高;而对SO2的催化氧化能力却逐渐降低,含有2 wt% CeO2的催化剂表现最好;研究认为,CeO2所提供的氧对SO2和CO的氧化起了至关重要的作用。此外,不同形貌的纳米氧化铈晶体,也表现出不同的抗SO2/CO中毒性能。论文对混合催化剂的CO抗中毒性能及机理也进行深入探讨。最后,针对研究工作中的不足,对今后的进一步工作进行了展望。

在完成自己博士在读期间研究工作的介绍后,徐峰同学对各位评委提出的问题作了认真解答,并保证按照所提的建议和意见对论文进行修改和完善。最后祝贺徐峰同顺利通过博士学位论文答辩,希望其在今后的工作中通过努力拼搏,取得更优异的成绩!

何大平同学顺利通过博士学位论文答辩

2013年5月15日,我组何大平同学进行了博士学位论文答辩。答辩委员会主席为华中科技大学黄云辉教授,成员包括武汉大学陈胜利教授,华中科技大学王得丽教授,武汉理工大学潘牧教授和麦立强教授。

何大平同学就其研究工作——基于石墨烯(GNS)双功能作用与石墨烯三明治结构质子交换膜燃料电池催化剂,向在场的各位评委、老师及同学们作了详细介绍。他首先提出了GNS表面基团与石墨化程度对贵金属Pt催化剂稳定性的双功能作用,并确定了最佳的O/C原子比。在此基础上,分别利用全氟磺酸(PFSA)修饰、GNS表面磺化接枝及N掺杂处理,制备得到了一系列具有较高催化活性及电化学稳定性的GNS载Pt催化剂。研究过程中还发现了PFSA修饰对提高Pt催化剂抗CO中毒性能及N掺杂对GNS载Pt催化剂氧化原反应(ORR)稳定性有着积极的影响。最后,针对GNS二维片层结构的堆叠和团聚问题,制备出了具有三明治结构的GNS/纳米导电碳球复合材料,作为Pt催化剂载体,催化剂的催化活性与稳定性均得到较大提高。
