The design and development of a catalyst for comprehensive water splitting hold significant importance in sustainable energy generation. Herein, a novel bifunctional catalyst, CoMoP/NNMO@NC, for overall water splitting was fabricated through interfacial engineering on a NiMoO4-decorated polyester textile. The CoMoP/NNMO@NC demonstrated low overpotentials of 37 and 232 mV at 10 mA·cm–2 for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in 1 M KOH, respectively. The flower-like NiMoO4 acted as both a support and Mo source that underwent surface remodeling during the redox process and enhanced the catalytic activities. Consequently, a low cell voltage of 1.54 V at 10 mA·cm–2 for overall water splitting with excellent stability was achieved based on the CoMoP/NNMO@NC-assembled electrolyzer.
