On behalf of Prof. Xianhu Liu, Assoc. Prof. Zhipeng Gu, and myself as guest editors, I am pleased to invite you to contribute a manuscript to the upcoming special issue on "Advances in High-Performance Polymeric Materials" in Advanced Engineering Materials (JCR Q2, IF: 3.4).

The field of high-performance polymeric materials has witnessed remarkable growth and innovation, offering exceptional mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties that are crucial for advancing modern technology and industry. This special issue aims to highlight the significance and recent advancements in high-performance polymer materials, with a particular emphasis on polymer nanocomposites, hybrid materials, and smart polymers. Recent breakthroughs have led to the development of materials with enhanced strength, thermal resistance, and multifunctionality, including electromagnetic shielding, electrical conductivity, and energy harvesting capabilities. These innovations are poised to revolutionize applications across various sectors, including electronics, aerospace, automotive, wearable technology, soft robotics, and sustainable energy solutions. The special issue will also explore advanced characterization techniques and innovative polymer processing technologies that are critical for these materials.

We welcome both review articles and original research papers. Submissions will undergo the same rigorous peer-review process as regular submissions to Advanced Engineering Materials, ensuring the highest quality of published work. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2025. There is no article publication fee unless you choose Online Open. Accepted papers will be published online promptly and included in a dedicated issue of the journal. The online publication date will serve as the official publication date of your paper. Please note that previously published work in any public forum will not be considered.
