Novel visible-light-sensitive BiVO4/Bi2WO6/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites were synthesized using a facile one-pot hydrothermal process. The morphology, physico-chemical properties and specific surface area of the prepared photocatalysts were investigated using field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD), UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET), respectively. Under visible light irradiation, BiVO4/Bi2WO6/multi-walled carbon nanotube composite photocatalyst exhibited enhancing photocatalytic activity when it resolved in C.I. Reactive Blue 19 of aqueous solution. The enhanced photocatalytic activity could be attributed to the formation of a composite, which suppressed the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.
