Visible-light responsive BiVO4/Bi2WO6/multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) nanocomposites were facilely prepared via one-pot hydrothermal method. Effects of MWCNT content, solution pH,hydrothermal temperature and time, heating temperature and time on the structure forming and photocatalytic activity of BiVO4/Bi2WO6/MWCNT were investigated. Results showed that MWCNT content, hydrothermal temperature and heating temperature had significant influence on the morphology of BiVO4/Bi2WO6/MWCNT. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degrading C.I.Reactive Blue 19 (RB-19) under visible-light irradiation. Remarkable enhancement in photodecomposition of RB-19 was observed. The heterostructure photocatalyst BiVO4/Bi2WO6/MWCNT exhibited higher photocatalytic performance since it can facilitate the photo-induced carriers separation and suppress recombination of the electron–holes, leaving more charge carriers to form reactive species.
