The environment-responsive nanoformulations-loaded hydrogel microneedles were designed for painless and prolonged HUA treatment. Upon penetrated into the skin, SUA levels could be reduced within 4 h and maintain normouricemia state for up to 30 h, reducing the functional damage to the liver and kidneys.
