A novel polymeric composite with high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss has been developed by mixing polyvinyl-butyral (PVB) with ferroelectric ceramic lead zirconate titanates (PZT). The dependence of the dielectric constant on frequency and polymer volume fraction was investigated. The composite shows a high dielectric constant which gives better frequency stability, and lower dielectric loss. The highest dielectric constant of 155 and the lowest dielectric loss of 0.05 can be achieved at a PVB volume fraction of 0.15.
