From July 20th to 24th, 2023, the research team went to Xining to participate in the 17th National Conference on Computational (Machine) Chemistry.
The conference was hosted by the Computer Chemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Qinghai Normal University, and jointly organized by the School of Chemistry and
Chemical Engineering of Qinghai Normal University and the Qinghai Provincial Government Beijing Normal University Plateau Science and Sustainable Development Research Institute. It was held in the lecture hall of Chengbei Campus of Qinghai Normal University and the Jinding Licheng Hotel in Qinghai.
The theme of the conference is "Computer chemistry empowers high-quality development ", which was launched in parallel with the four sub-sections of “Drug design and biomedicine”,
“chemometrics and bioinformatics”, “theoretical chemistry and computational chemistry”, “materials science and multi-scale simulation”. There are 4 plenary lectures, 94 invited reports, 54 oral reports and nearly 100 posters. More than 360 representatives from universities, research institutes, and enterprises across the country participated in this academic conference. Professor Yaoqi Zhou from Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, Professor Luhua Lai from Peking University, Professor Jinbo Xu from Beijing MolecularMind, and Professor Xueguang Shao from Nankai University gave plenary lectures titled "The Past, Present, and Future of Protein Design", "New Drug Design Based on Physical Models and Artificial Intelligence", "Latest Progress in AI Proteins", and "Chemometrics Methods in Near Infrared Spectroscopy Analysis". respectively.
Xihui Bian and Zizhen Zhao in the research group gave an invited report and oral report entitled "Research progress in spectral variable selection methods based on swarm intelligence optimization" and a poster report entitled "Rapid determination of cholesterol based on butterfly optimization algorithm and near infrared spectroscopy”, respectively.
