Shape-memory ionogels from biodegradable 6PEG-PCL and
conductive ionic liquid (IL) were engineered as wearable electronics for
robot-assisted rehabilitation. 6PEG-PCL was converted to an
elastomer-like material owing to its molecular interactions with the IL,
enabling reproducible and wide-range monitoring of strain variation. Moreover,
the excellent shape-memory property endowed ionogel-based wearable electronics
with geometry-adaptivity to joints, improving the strain-sensing accuracy in
joint rehabilitation.
